7:30am on Tuesday, November 12
As the wildfires burn in California, we have to deal with the fact that the climate crisis isn’t a problem for the future — it’s already begun. And as the corporations and politicians that created the climate crisis continue to delay and deny, over 200,000+ people have had to evacuate their homes. But as this crisis grows, so does our movement.
The #ShutDownDC actions of Sept. 23 and 27 were a huge success, and we will continue to bring climate disruption to the nation’s capital over and over again, until decision-makers feel the urgency that those affected by the wildfires are feeling right now.
Never participated in a disruptive action before? GREAT, this action is perfect for you! Join us at 7:30am on November 12th and we’ll go over the basics of organizing a disruption, let you know what to look out for, and help you get comfortable taking the streets with us!
Were you with us for #ShutDownDC and are itching to get back on the streets? GREAT, this action is perfect for you, too! Together we can keep the drumbeat for climate justice going, build our capacity, make new connections, and generate awareness and build a strong and dynamic movement.
We’ll be holding a prep meeting and art build on Sunday, Nov. 3 at 1:30 pm. Location will be shared with folks who fill out this form:
